Amari Metals OÜ
In May 1995, the management of the Avesta Sheffield Group decided to establish its own sales company in the Baltics. Since Estonia's overall stability and economic indicators were better than those of our southern neighbors, it was decided to set up the sales company in Tallinn.
The company's official opening took place on February 27.
On January 20, 2001, Outokumpu Steel and Avesta Sheffield's stainless steel groups merged, resulting in the creation of the world's second-largest stainless steel producer — AvestaPolarit.
In 2003, after merging with the Outokumpu group, the parent company was renamed Outokumpu Stainless. On January 12, 2004, all of the group's activities — stainless steel, copper, and technology — were consolidated under the Outokumpu name.
In 2006, copper production was sold, and the focus shifted solely to stainless steel.
Since September 2012, we have been part of the Amari Metals Europe Ltd. family of companies, one of the largest non-ferrous metal wholesalers in Europe.
Geographically, the location of the sales company in Tallinn is particularly advantageous, as we are in close proximity to many manufacturing plants. We are supplied by ten factories in Finland, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
In our 1100 square meter warehouse, the largest stainless steel warehouse in the Baltics, we always have approximately 500 products/articles in stock.
Since the summer of 2000, we have also had a stainless steel sheet brushing and film-coating line in Tallinn. This allows us to offer maximum flexibility and high-level service.
